Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: [Effective date to be set] · Last updated: September 2, 2026
WebinarGrid may be used only for lawful and legitimate purposes. This policy sets out what is not permitted, and the steps we may take when it is breached.
1. Purpose and scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") applies to everyone who uses WebinarGrid — account holders, their team members, panelists, and anyone participating in a webinar hosted on the platform. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and a breach of this Policy is a breach of those Terms.
WebinarGrid is a technology platform. We provide tools for hosting webinars, collecting registrations, and communicating with an audience. We do not create, author, verify, approve or endorse the content, claims, offers or representations that users make to their audiences. You are responsible for the legality, truthfulness and appropriateness of everything you communicate through the Services.
This Policy is not exhaustive. Conduct that is unlawful, or that is plainly harmful, deceptive or abusive, is prohibited whether or not it is specifically listed below. We may update this Policy as the service and the risks to it evolve.
2. Your core obligation
You must use WebinarGrid only for lawful purposes, and only in ways that comply with all laws applicable to you, your business, your content and your audience. This includes consumer protection and advertising law, anti-spam and electronic communications law, privacy and data protection law, intellectual property law, and any licensing or registration requirements for your activity.
You must hold every licence, registration, authorization, consent and right that your activity requires. If your business or offer is regulated, it is your responsibility — not ours — to ensure you are permitted to promote and sell it to each audience you address.
3. Strictly prohibited content and activity
You must not use WebinarGrid to host, promote, distribute, facilitate or solicit any of the following.

Unlawful and deceptive claims
WebinarGrid is used by legitimate businesses across health, finance, education and many other sectors, and we do not prohibit any of those fields. What is prohibited is making claims that are unlawful, unsubstantiated or misleading:

4. Prohibited technical and platform abuse
You must not use WebinarGrid in ways that harm the platform, its infrastructure, or other users. Specifically, you must not:
- Send spam or unlawful bulk or unsolicited commercial communications through the Services
- Upload, transmit or link to malware, spyware, ransomware, viruses or any other malicious code
- Use bots, scripts or automation to abuse the platform, inflate metrics, create accounts, or circumvent limits
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, network or data, or to any part of the Services you are not authorized to access
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Services, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent plan limits, capacity limits, quotas, billing controls or usage restrictions
- Interfere with, disrupt or place an unreasonable load on the Services or their infrastructure, including through excessive automated use or denial-of-service activity
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Services, except where applicable law expressly permits it
- Resell, sublicense or provide the Services to a third party as a service of your own, unless we have agreed in writing
- Use the Services to build, train or improve a competing product
- Misuse the reporting, support or abuse channels, including by submitting knowingly false reports
5. Conduct within webinars
If you host webinars on WebinarGrid, you are responsible for the conduct of your sessions, including chat, polls, questions and any material you present or distribute. You should moderate your sessions appropriately, and the platform provides tools — including chat moderation, message removal and attendee blocking — to help you do so.
If you attend or participate in a webinar hosted by someone else, you must not post unlawful, abusive, harassing, deceptive or infringing content, impersonate another person, or disrupt the session.
6. How we enforce this Policy
Where legally permitted and where we reasonably consider it appropriate, we may:
- Investigate suspected breaches of this Policy
- Request information from you about your use of the Services
- Restrict or limit access to all or part of the Services
- Suspend an account, temporarily or indefinitely
- Terminate an account
- Remove or restrict access to content, where technically feasible and appropriate
- Take steps to protect the security, integrity and availability of the Services and to protect other users and third parties
- Cooperate with legitimate legal, regulatory or law-enforcement requirements
Where circumstances reasonably allow, we will contact you first and give you an opportunity to explain or remedy the issue. Where the breach is serious, unlawful, or presents an immediate risk to other people or to the Services, we may act without prior notice.
We do not monitor every webinar, user, communication or piece of content, and we have no obligation to detect every breach of this Policy. We generally act on reports we receive, on issues we become aware of in the course of operating the service, and on legal requirements. A decision not to act in one case does not limit our right to act in another, and does not waive any right.
Where an account is suspended or terminated for a breach of this Policy, fees already paid are not refunded, except where required by law. Nothing in this Policy limits any other right or remedy available to us.
7. Reporting a violation
If you believe someone is using WebinarGrid in breach of this Policy, please report it to [ABUSE REPORTING EMAIL]. Where possible, include the webinar or registration link, the account or session involved, the date and time, and a description of what you observed.
We review reports we receive and take the action we consider appropriate. We may not be able to tell you the outcome of a report, and we may need to share your report with the account holder concerned, or with law enforcement where the law requires it.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Services and the risks to them change. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where the changes are material, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Policy.
9. Contact us
Questions about this Policy can be sent to [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL]. Reports of suspected violations should go to [ABUSE REPORTING EMAIL].
